Taneil Franklin

California Delegate

Taneil Franklin is based in Los Angeles, California and is passionate about youth advocacy, housing access, and systems change. She dedicates her time to community leadership, public speaking, and advancing policies that improve opportunities for young people transitioning into adulthood.

Believing that every young person deserves stability, opportunity, and a voice in decisions that impact their lives, Taneil channels her passion into action through NFYI, focusing on strengthening youth voice in policy and expanding access to supportive resources for young people. Through her work, she hopes to contribute to solutions that address housing instability and create stronger systems of support for youth.

Outside of NFYI Taneil serves as the coordinator of training and education with the LA emissary, where she develops training and leadership opportunities for young people and community partners across Los Angeles county. She has spoken at conferences and community events, sharing her lived experience to help inform policies and programs that support youth.

Beyond her advocacy work, Taneil enjoys traveling, creating lifestyle content, and spending time with family and friends. Through the Congressional Leadership Academy, she hopes to gain deeper knowledge of the legislative process, strengthen her policy advocacy skills, and build connections that will help her continue advocating for youth and community-centered
