Shi’Ann Taylor

California Delegate

Shi’Ann Taylor is a Los Angeles-based carpenter and community advocate with a focus on housing access and youth-centered policy. She earned her Associate of Science in Carpentry from Los Angeles Trade Technical College and is currently pursuing a second associate degree in sociology.

Her work combines hands-on construction experience with civic engagement. Shi’Ann has contributed to the development of shared living spaces for individuals experiencing housing instability and has supported fundraising efforts for a sibling housing village in Palmdale, California, designed to prevent family separation within the foster care system.

In addition to her construction background, she is actively involved in advocacy efforts to secure funding for housing programs, including licensing, insurance, and long-term sustainability initiatives for Rose. Her goal is to bridge practical building expertise with policy solutions that address housing inequity at the local level.
Shi’Ann is committed to learning more about municipal leadership and public policy to expand her impact in housing development and community advocacy.
