Roesella Pulido is based out of Sacramento, California, and is deeply passionate about the foster youth crisis, including homelessness, housing instability, and the lack of funding and resources available to support systems. She dedicates her time not only to advocacy, but also to her role as a wife and mother-to-be.

Believing that every person has a voice that deserves to be heard and that everyone deserves to be seen, Roesella channels her passion into action through NFYI, focusing on amplifying the voices of foster youth and bringing awareness to the urgent crises they face. Advocacy is her bread and butter, and she carries this belief into every space she enters, from speaking in front of senators to supporting individuals in her day-to-day life.

Outside of NFYI, Roesella dedicates her time to outreach and community support, helping individuals access stable housing, food, and essential resources whenever she can. She has previously been a part of the John Burton Advocates for Youth cohort for two years and has been involved with California Youth for Change, further strengthening her commitment to this work. In 2024, she was honored with an award from a state senator in recognition of her outstanding advocacy efforts.

Through the Congressional Leadership Academy, she hopes to deepen her understanding of policy, strengthen her leadership and advocacy skills, and expand her ability to drive meaningful change. She is committed to using her voice to elevate foster youth perspectives, influence policy conversations, and contribute to long-term solutions that address housing instability, resource gaps, and systemic inequities affecting foster youth.
