California Delegate

Daniel Barragan

Danniel Barragan was born to his biological family on June 1, 2004. Eight months later, he was adopted by Jackie and Jorge Barragan, his loving parents. He currently lives with them and his younger sister Lessandra in Orange, CA. Daniel graduated from El Modena High School in 2023 and is now a freshman at Santiago Canyon College, where he also works as a student ambassador. The job offers him an opportunity to speak about his personal experience as a first-generation and former foster youth college student. By speaking mainly to high school students through his work, Daniel hopes to build on his public speaking skills which are necessary for his career goal of becoming an economics professor. Outside of school and work he participates in Associated Student Government as a senator and volunteers when he can. For fun he enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
