Join NFYI and California Youth Connection (CYC) in Los Angeles for an *in-person* meeting with the Department of Social Services and other state officials as we work together to transform California’s foster care system. We need #FosterYouthVoices to elevate youth perspective in spaces where decisions are made for 60,000 foster youth and children placed in the California child welfare system. Those decisions are usually made without consulting the experts (who are individuals with lived experience) who understand the effects of these policies and procedures on youth and children in foster care. This is a space to address the inequities that are present in foster care and advise how stakeholders can authentically engage with young people. Apply to join the party!
