Taneil Franklin is a youth advocate and emerging leader based in Los Angeles County with lived experience in the foster care system. She is passionate about housing justice, youth empowerment, and policy reform, and has dedicated her work to ensuring that young people most impacted by public systems have a voice in shaping them. 

Taneil currently serves in leadership and advisory roles that focus on training, education, and youth engagement. She has coordinated system-level trainings, spoken on panels about housing instability and youth leadership, and collaborated with public agencies and community organizations to elevate youth perspectives in policy spaces. Through her work, she strives to bridge lived experience and institutional decision-making. 

She is pursuing higher education with plans to attend law school and become a civil rights and public interest attorney focused on housing and child welfare reform. Taneil believes in the power of collective leadership and is committed to building systems that promote stability, opportunity, and equity for future generations.
