Jasmine, who goes by “Jazz” began her advocacy for foster youth in 2015. The 22-year-old hopes to help change the foster care system nationwide, especially focusing on creating a sense of normalcy for foster youth and keeping siblings together. During her time as a Congressional Foster Youth Delegate, she hopes to work with members of Congress to learn the process of passing a bill and how a bill gets introduced. A fun fact about Jazz is that she has two cats, one named Romeo and the other named Julian. A quote she feels most connected to is from Shawn Mendes, “there’s nothing holding me back.”
