Saphire is a hardworking and driven young professional who became involved with child welfare advocacy after her own experience in the child welfare system. “I understand how frustrating it is when your voice and opinions aren’t heard,” she said.
Saphire is focused on making the foster system a safer place for youth like her, and hopes to one day have a career in child care. In her free time, Saphire likes to explore nature and spend time outdoors, especially with family and friends.
The National Foster Youth Institute is a youth development organization that lifts up foster youth voices to transform the child welfare system.
