Yusef Presley is a devoted advocate for foster care and criminal justice reform. He is currently studying Organizational Leadership and Learning at Wichita State University. In addition to being a student Yusef serves as a criminal legal reform organizer for the ACLU of Kansas. From a very young age, Yusef became a victim of a system that failed to provide stability and care. However, his story took an even more challenging turn when he found himself in the juvenile penitentiary, all because he refused to take medication. Today, Yusef stands as a passionate advocate, tirelessly working to bring about positive change within the foster care and criminal justice realms.
The National Foster Youth Institute is a youth development organization that lifts up foster youth voices to transform the child welfare system.
