Georgia Delegate

Bernard Ball

Bernard has worked in child advocacy and the foster welfare system for over a decade. The 30-year-old grew up in Kentucky and was in and out of the foster care system throughout his childhood. Bernard currently lives in Ty Ty, Ga. with his wife, newborn son, and three daughters. He currently works for the state government and strives to continue to improve the lives of others, while advocating for advancement and change within the foster care system in Georgia and nationwide. He hopes to gain education and knowledge of the procedures and functions of Congress, especially surrounding the national ongoing child welfare issues. He also looks forward to learning about the steps that are being taken in Georgia and other states to improve the child welfare system for those in the system and those that have gone through it at some point in their lives. He enjoys creating and finding organizations, nonprofits, and resources that benefit the people in the child welfare system. Outside of work, Bernard enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing karaoke, and traveling. A quote that represents him is “speak softly, and carry a big stick; you will go far” said by Theodore Roosevelt.
