Alejandro is a California native who started advocacy in 2009. The 30-year-old has a passion for becoming a voice for youth on behalf of the child welfare system. During his time in Washington, D.C. he hopes to gain much insight into congressional policies. He hopes the Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day will be the start of greatness to continue to advocate for future generations to come.
The National Foster Youth Institute is a youth development organization that lifts up foster youth voices to transform the child welfare system.
