Liu is branching out to community affairs. She’s on the board of the National Foster Youth Institute with her local congresswoman, Rep. Karen Bass, and in May she was appointed to the Mar Vista Community Council.“Part of what makes the Westside great is people really love that work-life balance, and so do I. … People’s connection to the outdoors grounds everyone a little,” she says. “I try to be reflective, because I think that’s where a lot of growing happens. It reminds me how much help I had as a female entrepreneur and one of the few women CEOs in tech. I look at it now as my responsibility to help others be successful.”
