The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) and National Foster Youth Institute (NFYI) in partnership with the Congressional Caucus on Foster Youth are co-hosting a bipartisan congressional briefing to discuss on the importance of keeping siblings together while in foster care and post adoption. It is estimated that between 60-73 percent of siblings are separated in foster care. CCAI and NFYI will provide staff with an overview of policy, an opportunity to hear directly from impacted youth and families, and time to answer questions from advocates.
The National Foster Youth Institute is a youth development organization that lifts up foster youth voices to transform the child welfare system.
