South Carolina Delegate

Majd Abdallah

Majd Abdallah is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in marketing. Majd was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. He entered the foster care system at 16 and is now passionate about higher education access, greater foster care awareness, and foster family recruitment. He dedicates his time to recruiting therapeutic foster families. Believing that every young person in foster care deserves the chance to pursue higher education and experience a stable family placement, Majd Abdallah channels his passion into action through NFYI, focusing on higher education, the national standard of care, and health and wellness.

Outside of NFYI, Majd is one of the founding members for Youth Engagement Advocates, a program started by SC-DSS to help pass policy change in South Carolina. While a part of this program Majd helped pass the SC Extension of Foster Care bill which extended foster care for youth to age 21. Additionally, Majd is the Founder and CEO of Foster Friendz, the first all-blue stuffed animal company with a mission to increase awareness and inspire everyday people to make a positive impact on foster care.

Through the Congressional Leadership Academy, he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process and connect with the Congressional representatives involved in foster care policy, and apply the skills he learns to create tangible pathways for foster youth to achieve lasting success and stability in South Carolina.

Beyond his advocacy, Majd Abdallah enjoys working out, spending time with his friends and family, and reading. Majd believes that all people deserve to be loved and known.
