Cristopher Espino

Cristopher Espino is a third-year student pursuing a double major in Political Science and Education. Serving as the Academic Affairs Commissioner for UCLA’s Undergraduate Student Association Council, he represents over 30,000 students and oversees academic affairs, managing a significant budget and spearheading initiatives to promote academic equity. Additionally, Cristopher holds a position on the LA Youth Commission, appointed by the LA County Board of Supervisors, where he contributes to policy development aimed at improving opportunities for system-impacted youth. His research at the UCLA Pritzker Center focuses on issues such as blind removal and domestic violence. Cristopher has testified before the Los Angeles County Prevention and Promotion Systems Governing Committee, the Los Angeles Education Coordinating Council, and California’s State Assembly Education Committee.

Recognized for his public service, Cristopher received a California Certificate of Recognition as an elected official on the North Westwood Neighborhood Council and has been awarded the Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for the 2024-2026 academic years. He is also a 2025 LeadNext Fellow with The Asia Foundation and a Changemaker with The Allstate Foundation, having attended their National Youth Service Summit as part of their inaugural cohort.
