The National Foster Youth Institute warmly invites you to the Tribute to Foster Care Champions Luncheon — NFYI’s annual celebration of foster youth leadership — on May 2, 2026, at Tiato in Santa Monica. Join us for an afternoon of inspiration and connection as we honor David Herbst and Antwone Fisher with Champion for Children Awards for their lasting impact on children and families. We will also recognize NFYI Advocates of the Year Leanne Caldejon and Shi’Ann Taylor, whose lived experience and leadership are helping shape stronger systems. The luncheon will be emceed by DJ Nash, creator of A Million Little Things, whose storytelling has helped bring attention to child welfare, mental health, and chosen family.
