Role: Director of Operations

Background: As Director of Operations, Cyndi manages NFYI’s administration and operations, including human resources, finance and working to improve organizational quality and efficiency, while providing infrastructure support to the Executive Director in Los Angeles and the team nationwide.

An energetic and accomplished administrator, Cyndi’s professional background includes over 15 years of presenting live theater and concerts and supporting youth in a variety of roles in K-12 education. Moving to Los Angeles in 2016, Cyndi was able to combine her love for art, youth and education as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO at Inner-City Arts, which focuses on providing art education to underserved youth.

Cyndi has a B.A. in Cultural Studies from The Evergreen State College. She is a mother of four.

What she likes about working at NFYI: Supporting the organization’s mission and our team of amazing, heart-centered, compassionate leaders who give their best to make a better way for foster youth inspires me every day and providing the resources and support that encourage youth to reach their full potential.

Hobbies/Passions: Cyndi is a passionate life-long learner, a lover of art (music, film, books, museums), travel and learning to play capoeira.

Fun fact: Cyndi owned a retail store where she created custom blended perfumes.
