Los Angeles Organizing Intern
Antwoine Laws is a one-of-a-kind aspiring actor that enjoys spending most of his free time volunteering to help make a difference in the community whenever he can. Always ready for a challenge or a chance to step up to the plate to assist, he looks for any opportunity he can in an effort to give back and use his experiences in care to support others.
At the age of 16, Antwoine first started volunteering with Kids-Net LA and spent the next three summers as a camp counselor and an activity planner. At the age of 19, he began volunteer work with Peace4Kids on Saturdays and helped build a community garden and start a community food truck to produce healthier food options and expand knowledge on health throughout the area.
As a Peace4Kids alumni, Antwoine has attended many leadership retreats focused on empowering the voices of youth in care and changing the narrative of foster care to support those affected by it both emotionally and physically. He is currently working towards a career in graphic design as well as acting by attending Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and continues to dedicate his weekends to assisting Peace4Kids in their activities.
